Voice To-Do: Add Tasks by Speaking
Pocket Memo – Currently available on iPhone
The fastest way to add a to-do item is to say it out loud. Pocket Memo is a voice-first to-do app for iPhone that captures your tasks the moment you think of them — no typing, no unlocking, no friction.
How Voice To-Do Works
Press the Action Button on your iPhone and speak your task. Pocket Memo transcribes it instantly and saves it as a note or reminder. If you mention a time — "buy groceries tomorrow" or "call dentist Friday morning" — the app schedules a notification automatically.
Why Typing To-Do Lists Is Slow
Traditional to-do apps require you to stop, unlock your phone, open the app, type the task, and save it. Each step takes seconds. Together they take long enough that you might skip it entirely — and the task disappears from memory.
With a voice to-do approach, the entire process takes under three seconds. The thought goes from your mind to your reminder list before it has a chance to fade.
Built for Real Life
Most to-do tasks appear at inconvenient moments — while cooking, driving, or in the middle of another task. Pocket Memo is designed for exactly these moments. Speak from the locked screen, keep moving, and trust that your task is captured.
- Works from the iPhone lock screen
- Action Button support on iPhone 15 Pro and later
- Siri Shortcuts for completely hands-free capture
- Home screen and lock screen widgets
- Automatic reminders from spoken time expressions
Originally Designed for Forgetful Minds
Pocket Memo started as a tool for people who struggle to remember small daily tasks — including those with ADHD, busy professionals, and parents who juggle dozens of small responsibilities. The insight was simple: if capturing a task takes too long, it does not get captured. Voice removes that barrier entirely.
Over time the app grew into a full voice notes and reminders tool, but that original mission — zero-friction task capture — remains at its core.
Currently Available on iPhone
Pocket Memo is currently available on iPhone (iOS 17 and later). Android and iPad support may come in the future based on user demand. The iPhone version takes full advantage of Apple's on-device speech recognition, Action Button, and notification system for the best possible experience.
Private by Design
All your voice notes and to-do items are stored locally on your device. Nothing is sent to the cloud. No account required. Your tasks are private and stay that way.
